Granny Mouse Country House & Spa invites you to experience a year-end celebration like no other. Say goodbye to the disappointments of past festive functions and elevate your Christmas experience in the enchanting Midlands.

Nestled in the heart of Balgowan on the Midlands Meander route, just 1 hour and 30 minutes from Durban and conveniently close to Pietermaritzburg, Granny Mouse Country House & Spa offers a culinary journey that promises to set the bar high this year.

Our talented culinary artists in the Mouse House kitchen have crafted a delectable three-course Christmas lunch that surpasses all expectations.

The menu options kick off with sizzling starters comprising of duck phyllo rolls (confit shredded duck, mixed with fresh coriander & peanuts, wrapped in phyllo pastry served with Asian slaw & nước chấm sauce); camembert (panko crumbed camembert served with caramelized red onion, honey roasted nuts & seeds, cinnamon & star anise syrup & toasted ciabatta) or the option of moules mariniere (classic French style mussels cooked with white wine & garlic finished with fresh cream & parsley & toasted ciabatta).

Mains are a difficult choice to choose from as all are so delicious. Butternut gnocchi (roast butternut cream, bacon, cherry tomatoes, toasted pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, caramelized red onion, red peppers, sundried tomato & Danish feta); 21-day aged 250g sirloin served with vegetables and mash; chicken schnitzel (panko crumbed chicken fillet served with vegetables & cheese sauce) or kingklip served with a choice of mash, chips or vegetables.

Ending off this feast is an alcoholic ice cream trio (homemade ice cream using festive alcohols); death by chocolate (trio chocolate mousse with espresso sorbet/granita and Brule banana) or strawberry and Pimms Eton mess (strawberry citrus Swiss roll, pavlova, Pimms whipped cream, strawberry couli & fresh strawberries).

This three-course culinary extravaganza is priced at only R460 per person, with one delightful dish per course, and includes a welcoming drink to set the festive mood.

Infuse vitality back into your next conference and host it at Granny Mouse

The landscape of our daily lives underwent a seismic shift due to the COVID-19 pandemic, thrusting us into the realm of virtual existence. From online lectures to virtual meetings and conferences, this digital transition has been nothing short of transformative. While a plethora of conferencing platforms emerged, the time-tested allure of conferences at Granny Mouse Country House & Spa remained undiminished.

In the world of virtual gatherings, technology plays a central role, yet it’s essential to acknowledge that it alone does not guarantee success and efficiency. In a sea of digital options, online users can swiftly grow disengaged, seeking more captivating experiences elsewhere.

Conference organizers now find themselves at the forefront, charged with the vital task of not just harnessing technology but also captivating their audience. This involves fostering interaction through engaging icebreakers like polls and surveys, stimulating brainstorming sessions that involve all participants, and adhering to set schedules with precision.

Effective planning well in advance is paramount to ensuring that delegates and attendees have a truly enriching interactive experience.

In essence, online and hybrid meetings have firmly established themselves as enduring fixtures in our professional lives. This is attributable to the unparalleled convenience of participating in meetings or conferences from any corner of the globe, the cost-effectiveness, and the environmentally friendly footprint they leave behind. It’s evident that possessing digital proficiency, adept moderation skills, a nuanced understanding of technology, security considerations, and an appreciation of social dynamics will continue to be pivotal facets of conferences and meetings.

However, despite the undeniable advantages of virtual gatherings, one fundamental truth remains unchanged – we are, at our core, human beings who thrive on physical interaction. This human need for connection and camaraderie can be seamlessly woven into the fabric of real-life team-building experiences.

So, as you contemplate your next conference, consider letting Granny Mouse infuse vitality back into your team.
